Roads
The two major arterial roads in the Sunshine Coast are the Bruce Highway, and the Sunshine Motorway. The Bruce Highway connects the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and has dual carriageway from Brisbane to Cooroy.
The Sunshine Motorway starts at the interchange with the Bruce Highway at Palm View and ends at David Low Way in Coolum Beach. The motorway is one of Australia's only low budget freeways, with traffic travelling in one lane in each direction and a divider in the middle.
Airport
Flights from the Sunshine Coast depart from Sunshine Coast Airport 10 km north of Maroochydore and fly direct to Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne serviced by both Jetstar and Virgin Blue.
